Job summary

Vision Hospitality Group is hiring a Housekeeping Supervisor/Inspector to lead housekeeping staff, ensure rooms and corridors are spotless, and assist in cleaning when needed.

You will uphold the ONE TEAM. ONE VISION. philosophy, respond to guest requests warmly, and help the team meet cleanliness metrics and service goals. The role requires flexibility, reliability, and teamwork in a fast-paced hotel environment.

Qualifications

  • Keep confidential the business functions of the company including, but not limited to, financial status, customer/guest information, employee issues, etc.
  • Must be responsible for safety and security of guests, fellow employees and hotel assets
  • Have knowledge of fire alarm system and evacuation procedures
  • Able to report to work for scheduled shifts
  • Able to communicate effectively in writing, verbally, and in person
  • Able to work a flexible schedule. We are a 24/7 business which may require work availability of nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Is organized, honest, and works well with others
  • Maintain a clean and attractive work area, uniform, and person
  • Able to work with people from diverse cultures and backgrounds Has the highest degree of integrity and is humble, living by the Golden Rule
  • Able to work with people from diverse cultures and backgrounds
  • Values of dedication, innovation, showing respect, being driven by excellence, being community-focused, and having a spirit of service.
  • Be able to bend, reach, kneel, push, and stretch and lift and/or carry up to 30 pounds

  • Must be comfortable using a step stool or ladder
  • Must be able to use/lift arms for up to 8 hours
  • Have finger dexterity for operating equipment
  • Must speak in a clear, understandable voice, hear at a basic level, and understand English
  • Must be able to write

Responsibilities

  • Maintain cleanliness and appearance of guest rooms and surrounding corridors.
  • Assist in cleaning rooms when needed.
  • Provide courteous and pleasant responses to guest requests to ensure a comfortable stay.

  • Meet or exceed company goals and metrics.
  • Perform duties to aid hotel operation and service quality.
  • Assist in making beds, restocking supplies, and maintaining brand standards.
  • Report deficiencies and equipment malfunctions to maintenance and leadership.

Job Description

The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for helping to ensure the housekeeping staff maintains the cleanliness and overall appearance of the guest rooms and surrounding corridors. When needed, the Supervisor/Inspector may also assist in cleaning rooms. Supervisors are also responsible to accommodate every guest’s reasonable needs and requests with a courteous and pleasant response in effort to create a comfortable and enjoyable stay. The person in this position must be able to roll their sleeves up and assist our teams when needed, living our “ONE TEAM. ONE VISION.” philosophy. This person must also provide innovative ways that align with our mission to be the best, most respected hotel company in America.

  • Complete all required training

  • Adhere to all standard operating procedures and property specific brand standards

  • Perform any other duties as requested by management to aid in better operation of the hotel and service to the guests

  • Provide personalized, friendly service to every guest and associate

  • Hold the housekeeping staff to the highest possible standard of room cleanliness, ensuring a room is guest ready before being released to the front desk for sale

  • When needed, clean guest rooms and public areas. Report any deficiency and equipment malfunctions in rooms and public areas to the maintenance department

  • Assist in making beds neatly with fresh linens, pick up trash from floor and vacuum, and empties trash from waste cans

  • Ensures the rooms are up to brand standards with items such as all clean mirrors. wiped shelves, doorframes and furniture, and dusting of all windowsills, and baseboards and ensure that furniture is arranged properly

  • Ensure proper clean and disinfect of bathrooms; scrubbing basin, bathtub, toilet, and tile floor and all items are replenished appropriate supplies in rooms (glasses, stationary, soaps, shampoo, tissue, toilet paper, guest directories) and place clean towels on rack

  • Ensure clean hallway area in front of rooms.

  • Report to the Executive Housekeeper all rooms vacant and clean and rooms that are occupied and clean

  • Report any discrepancies of furniture, equipment, and room condition

  • Must be responsible for security of guests, fellow associates and hotel assets

  • Provide assistance when needed to fellow associates, guest, and other departments
