Duties

• Assist with the cleaning and maintenance of guest rooms, hallways, public areas, and back-of-house spaces using appropriate cleaning techniques and equipment
• Handle chemical agents safely, adhering to safety data sheets (SDS) and proper chemical handling procedures to ensure a safe environment for staff and guests
• Vacuum carpets, sweep floors, mop surfaces, and perform detailed floor care to maintain pristine conditions throughout the property
• Support with heavy lifting tasks such as moving furniture or supplies to facilitate efficient cleaning operations
• Restock housekeeping carts with linens, amenities, and cleaning supplies while ensuring proper inventory management
• Follow hotel emergency procedures promptly in case of incidents or safety concerns, maintaining guest safety at all times
• Maintain sanitation standards by properly disposing of waste and adhering to janitorial protocols for cleanliness and hygiene

Requirements

• Prior experience in hotel housekeeping management or janitorial experience is highly preferred
• Knowledge of floor cleaning techniques, industrial cleaning methods, and custodial best practices
• Ability to handle cleaning equipment safely and efficiently, including vacuums, buffers, mops, and other janitorial tools
• Familiarity with chemical handling procedures and understanding of safety data sheets (SDS) for various cleaning agents
• Strong manual handling skills with the ability to perform heavy lifting safely
• Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude towards guests and team members
• Understanding of hotel housekeeping operations and hotel experience is advantageous
• Ability to follow safety protocols diligently and respond effectively in emergency situations
