Hilton Indianapolis is seeking a Housekeeping Houseperson to maintain clean, organized hotel spaces and contribute to a welcoming guest experience. You will perform a variety of duties across guest rooms, corridors, lobbies, and public areas, ensuring high standards of cleanliness and safety.

Responsibilities include cleaning rooms, hallways, restrooms, and staff areas; moving furniture; dusting and polishing surfaces; replenishing supplies; and greeting guests in a friendly manner.

• Cleans rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, and other work areas.
• Moves/arranges furniture and dusts/polishes furniture, metalwork and equipment.
• Sweeps, scrubs, waxes, and polishes floors using brooms, mops, and powered machines.
• Cleans rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies with a vacuum.
• Collects soiled linens and stocks linen supplies.
• Cleans bathrooms and replenishes supplies; refurnishes rooms as required.
• Washes walls, ceilings, and woodwork; cleans windows and sills.
• Transports trash and waste to disposal area; greets guests in a friendly manner.

The Housekeeping Houseperson will carry out a variety of tasks that ensure the hotel premises are consistently clean, organized, and well-maintained, thereby contributing to a welcoming and positive guest experience.

Responsibilities

• Cleans rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, and locker rooms and other work areas.
• Abides by the regulations set forth by the material safety data sheets when using chemicals.
• Moves/arranges furniture and dusts/polishes furniture, metalwork and equipment.
• Sweeps, scrubs, waxes, and polishes floors, using brooms and mops and powered scrubbing and waxing machines.
• Cleans rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies, using vacuum cleaner.
• Collects soiled linens for laundering and receives and stores linen supplies in linen closet.
• Cleans bathrooms and replenishes with supplies.
• Refurnishes room with supplies, towels etc. as required. Supplies cleaning cart with appropriate supplies for shift.
• Washes walls, ceiling, and woodwork; washes windows, door panels, and sills.
• Empties wastebaskets and empties and cleans ashtrays. Transports trash and waste to disposal area.
• Takes the initiative to greet guests in a friendly and warm manner

Education and Experience

• High school diploma preferred

This is an hourly position that pays $16 an hour

Position Requirements

Successful completion of a background check is required prior to employment.
