Job summary

The Villa Casa Casuarina is seeking a Houseman to help maintain the cleanliness and organization of all public areas and back-of-house spaces, while assisting room attendants in preparing guest rooms. This role supports the overall operations of the housekeeping department to ensure a welcoming environment for guests and staff.

The position requires flexibility to work weekends and holidays, physical ability to stand and walk for long periods, and the capacity to lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• Prior housekeeping/janitorial experience preferred, but not required.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
• Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs.
• Strong attention to detail and good organizational skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively and follow instructions.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of hotel public areas, including lobbies, corridors, restrooms, elevators, stairways, and pool areas.
• Collect and remove trash, dirty linens, and other refuse from guest floors and public spaces.
• Assist room attendants by delivering linens, towels, amenities, and supplies to guest rooms.
• Respond to guest requests and housekeeping calls promptly and courteously.
• Clean and maintain housekeeping closets and storage areas.
• Set up and break down meeting rooms or banquet spaces as needed.
• Support deep cleaning projects or special assignments as directed by the Housekeeping Supervisor.
• Ensure adherence to health, safety, and sanitation standards.
• Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards immediately.
• Maintain a positive and professional attitude while interacting with guests and colleagues.
