Job summary

HHS is seeking friendly housekeeping professionals to join the hospital team at HCA Florida South Shore Hospital. The role covers housekeeping and floor tech duties in a fast-paced healthcare environment, with evening and night shifts available.

You will maintain a safe, clean patient environment, follow cleaning procedures, and support the department to ensure efficient operations. A background check and eligibility verification are required.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Effective English communication; teamwork required.
• Must maintain good personal hygiene, neat grooming, and wear a uniform.
• Preferred: housekeeping or environmental services experience in healthcare

Responsibilities

• Clean patient rooms, common areas, restrooms and hospital spaces.
• Maintain cleanliness of assigned areas and monitor for hygiene.
• Follow hospital cleaning procedures and safety standards.
• Provide friendly, respectful service to all patients and staff.
• Support team and management to keep the department efficient.

Job Description

Housekeeper/ Floor Tech

• Wage: $ 15 /hour
• Full-time Floor Tech position and Part-time Housekeeping position available.
• Evening/Night shifts available
• Background check, drug screen, and proof of employment eligibility required
• Location: HCA South Shore Hospital

Responsibilities

• Clean assigned areas of the hospital, including patient rooms, common areas, restrooms, and more
• Monitor and maintain the cleanliness of assigned areas
• Follow all HHS cleaning procedures and best practices
• Provide friendly and kind service to all individuals in the hospital
• Assist team members and management as needed to help the department operate efficiently

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Communicate effectively in English and work well in a team environment
• Must practice good personal hygiene, be neatly groomed, and be in uniform
• Preferred: Housekeeping experience (cleaning, environmental services, custodian, janitorial, room attendant, floor care technician, hotel operations, healthcare)

Physical Requirements

• Standing, walking, squatting, bending, twisting, kneeling, and reaching continuously throughout a shift
• Pushing and pulling carts or equipment (over 100 lb.) on tile and carpeted floors continuously throughout a shift
• Must handle chemicals including bleach, wax, and disinfectants
• Must be able to operate equipment necessary to perform essential functions of the job
