Responsibilities

• Perform routine and deep cleaning of patient rooms, hallways, restrooms, and other facility areas using appropriate cleaning agents and equipment.
• Disinfect surfaces and equipment following infection control guidelines to minimize the risk of healthcare-associated infections.
• Maintain floors by sweeping, mopping, buffing, and waxing as needed to ensure safety and cleanliness.
• Properly handle and dispose of waste materials, including biohazardous waste, in accordance with regulatory standards.
• Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, or supply shortages to the appropriate department promptly.
• Collaborate with healthcare staff to coordinate cleaning schedules that minimize disruption to patient care.
• Adhere to facility policies, safety procedures, and regulatory requirements related to housekeeping and infection control.
