Job summary

Seneca Resorts & Casinos is seeking a Hotel Housekeeping Supervisor to ensure guest rooms and public areas meet established standards. You will supervise the area, monitor room status, and coordinate keys and equipment, while assisting in hiring and training to uphold safety and privacy policies.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older upon employment.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Two (2) years of Hotel Housekeeping or related experience preferred.
• Must have basic mathematical skills necessary for inventories.

Responsibilities

• Supervise area to ensure guest rooms are serviced per standards.
• Monitor and report guest room status, stock levels, and issues.
• Inspect guest rooms and public areas for quality control.
• Coordinate distribution and collection of keys, beepers, and equipment.
• Assist in hiring and evaluating employees; administer training.
• Adhere to Purchasing, HR, and TERO compliance requirements.
• Ensure top quality guest service.
• Perform duties of subordinates when needed.
• Promote positive public/employee relations.
• Maintain a clean, safe, hazard-free work environment.
• Participate as panel member on SGC's Board of Review.
• Understand and comply with information security policies.
• Provide exceptional customer service; communicate professionally.
• Meet attendance guidelines; adhere to policies.
• Complete all required SGC Training within nine months.
• Attend all necessary meetings.
• Hours determined by a 24-hour schedule.

Essential Functions And Responsibilities

• Supervise assigned area to ensure guest rooms are serviced in accordance with established policies and standards.
• Monitor and report on guest room status, stock levels and problem situations within hotel.
• Regularly perform inspections of guest rooms and common/public areas within the hotel to ensure quality control.
• Coordinate distribution and collection of keys, beepers, and other equipment for the assigned area.
• Assist in hiring and evaluating employees. Administers established training programs.
• Adhere to Purchasing, HR, and TERO compliance requirements.
• Ensure top quality guest service.
• Perform work of subordinates as needed.
• Promote positive public/employee relations at all times.
• Maintain a clean, safe, hazard-free work environment within area of responsibility.
• Participate as a panel member on SGC's Board of Review as needed.
• Maintain a current understanding of all policy and guidelines regarding information security including the Seneca Gaming Corporation Acceptable Use Policy. Understand and comply with all information security policies and procedures at all times.
• Provide exceptional customer service to all patrons and communicate in a pleasant, friendly and professional manner at all times. Maintain a professional work environment with supervisors, managers and staff.
• Meet the attendance guidelines of the job and adhere to regulatory, departmental and company policies.
• Must complete all required SGC Training programs within nine (9) months from commencement of employment.
• Attend all necessary meetings.
• Duties, responsibilities, requirements and expectations pertaining to this job are subject to change as needed. Hours are determined by a 24-hour schedule.

Education/Experience

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be 18 years of age or older upon employment.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must have at least two (2) year of Hotel Housekeeping or related experience preferred.

• Adequate manual dexterity to operate cleaning equipment.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles.
• May work with cleaning chemicals, and must be able to properly dilute, use and insure their safety, as well as others who encounter the chemicals.
• Lifting and moving up to fifty (50) pounds.
• Must be able to reach, bend, squat, reach, and climb step ladders to accurately clean and inspect facilities.
• Must be able to stand, walk, and move through all areas of the hotel for long periods of time (95%).
• Maintain physical stamina and proper mental attitude to work under pressure in a fast-paced, resort environment and effectively deal with customers, management, employees, and members of the business community in all situations.

Salary Starting Rate

$16.16

Compensation Is Negotiable Based On Experience And Education.
