Job summary

Connections Health Solutions is seeking a Housekeeping & Environmental Services Specialist for a full-time day shift in Leesburg, Virginia. The role covers general janitorial work, floor care, and basic repairs to keep the facility clean and safe.

What You'll Do:

This position performs highly skilled housekeeping (EVS) and maintenance tasks to care for and maintain the facility and grounds. The Environmental Services & Facilities Technician uses their knowledge of housekeeping processes, power and manual tools needed to perform tasks in categories such as general janitorial, cleaning, bio-hazard cleanups and minor facilities repair to ensure the buildings are in pristine condition.

• Facility Maintenance & Operations
  • Perform routine, rotational maintenance to ensure equipment and facility operations run smoothly
  • Troubleshoot any cleaning equipment issues including electrical, mechanical, and process issues independently, identifying and resolving root causes
  • Provide occasional assistance in facility maintenance tasks as needed
• Respond to repair and maintenance tickets submitted by internal departments in a timely manner
• Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for outsourced repairs, ensuring timely follow-up and resolution
• Oversee floor care vendor performance
• Inventory & Supply Management
  • Order housekeeping and EVS supplies, monitor inventory levels, and report on supply status
  • Receive, organize, and distribute supplies throughout the facility
• Compliance & Environment of Care
  • Report Environment of Care concerns through the ticketing system to support Safety Committee documentation and compliance
  • Ensure adherence to facility standards related to safety, maintenance, and operational readiness
• Facility Cleanliness & Upkeep
  • Maintain overall facility cleanliness, including floor care, general cleaning, restroom upkeep, and window cleaning
  • Restock supplies and perform additional cleaning duties as needed to support a safe and functional environment

What You'll Bring:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• 2 years experience in housekeeping/janitorial cleaning
• Working knowledge of: Cleaning best practices and floor care
• The Company has a mandatory vaccination policy. All successful applicants must be fully vaccinated, including showing proper documentation, or otherwise be exempt pursuant to the Company’s exemption process prior to their start date as a condition of employment
• State of Virginia Fingerprint Clearance
• Must be able to pass Virginia Department of Behavioral Health & Developmental Services (VA DBHDS) background check
• Must be able to pass Virginia Department of Social Services (VA DSS) Office of Background Investigations - Central Registry Search

It would be great if you had:

• Previous healthcare facility experience
• 1 year of experience performing tasks requiring mechanical aptitude
• Knowledge of the methods, practices, materials, and tools used in the maintenance
• Knowledge of the occupational hazards and safety precautions involved in the use of mechanical equipment and chemicals
