Job summary

Juniper Communities is seeking a full-time Environmental Services team member to perform housekeeping and laundry duties, ensuring a clean, safe and comfortable community for residents. The role emphasizes working within a healthcare-related environment and knowledge of commercial laundry processes is required.

Qualifications

• Experience in healthcare or service-related industry.
• Knowledge of commercial laundry services.
• Knowledge of the physiology and psychology of the older adult.

Responsibilities

• Follow specific cleaning and laundry procedures as outlined in the Environmental Services Manual.
• Sort soiled laundry, linen, garments, etc., and separate items requiring stain removal.
• Sort, count and wash soiled laundry, linen, garments, etc., per procedures.
• Press/iron garments as instructed.
• Clean floors (sweeping, dusting, damp/wet mopping).
• Fold, count, stack, hang and distribute clean laundry to residents daily.

Role

Works within the Environmental Services Team. Perform the day-to-day activities related to housekeeping and laundry services to ensure that the community is maintained in a clean, safe and comfortable manner.

Responsibilities

• Follow specific cleaning and laundry procedures as outlined in the Environmental Services Manual.
• Sort soiled laundry, linen, garments, etc., and separate those items that require special stain removal/treatment.
• Sort, count and wash soiled laundry, linen, garments, etc., in accordance with established procedures.
• Press/iron garments as instructed.
• Cleans floors, including sweeping, dusting, and damp/wet mopping.
• Fold, count, stack, hang and distribute clean laundry, linen, garments, etc. to residents daily and/or as instructed.

Requirements

Knowledge of commercial laundry services

Experience in a healthcare or service-related industry

Knowledge of the physiology and psychology of the older adult.
