The Union League of Philadelphia is seeking a Housekeeping Attendant to perform routine duties in guest rooms and public areas. The role emphasizes cleanliness, accuracy, and guest satisfaction, with a focus on maintaining a sanitary, comfortable environment for members and guests.

The position requires attention to detail, the ability to work with minimal supervision, and a friendly, honest demeanor. Use of an iPad to document cleaned rooms is part of the workflow, along with regular training

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2-year experience in the housekeeping department.
• Able to safely handle and use cleaning chemicals.
• Desire and willingness to work as a team within Housekeeping and other departments.
• Personal maturity, sound judgement, motivation, and integrity.
• Timing Flexible.

Responsibilities

• Operate cleaning equipment, such as vacuums, polishers, buffers, etc.
• Maintain rooms in a sanitary condition through cleaning and replacement of furnishings.
• Dispose of trash, waste, and other materials.
• Handle cleaning solvents and chemicals.
• Dust furniture, light fixtures, and windowsills.
• Empty trash containers daily.
• Check all vacant rooms daily to keep fresh.
• Report repairs to supervisor promptly.
• Communicate with front desk regarding guest issues or requests.
• Document completion of cleaned rooms using an iPad.
• Attend staff training sessions and complete special projects.
• Restock housekeeping supplies on shelves and carts.

Position Summary

Theyshould be able to address and handle all guest requestsand problemswhile adhering toall policies,procedures,and standards ofThe Union league.

Responsibilities

• Operates various mechanized cleaning equipment, such as vacuums, polishers, buffers, etc.
• MaintainInn roomsin a sanitary condition through washing, cleaning, and replacement of equipment and furnishings.
• Responsible for disposal of trash, waste, and other disposable materials.
• Must handle various cleaning solvents, chemicals, etc.
• Dust furniture, light fixtures, windowsills, etc.
• Empty trash containers daily.
• Check all vacant rooms daily to keep fresh.
• Report any needed repairsimmediatelyto supervisor (such as leaky faucets or toilets, loose tile, broken windowpanes, missing nuts or screws, beds needing repair, etc.).
• Communicate with front deskregardingany guest issueor requests
• Check entire area for spills, water, etc.
• Must be able to fully clean at least15guest rooms dailyto meet the expectations of management and guests
• Use an iPad to document the completion of a cleaned room
• Attend staff training sessions and meetings as needed
• Complete special projects outlined by the housekeeping manager
• Restock all housekeeping supplieson shelves and on carts

Physical Requirements

This position demands good physical health. Thehousekeeper willbe required to lift, carry, walk, sit, push, pull and work a flexible schedule, must be able to move continuously during work hours and able to lift and/or carry25 pounds.
