Job summary

Faith Haven Senior Care in Jackson, MI is seeking a Housekeeping & Laundry Aide to keep resident areas, public spaces, and offices clean and welcoming. You will sort soiled linen, operate washers, fold linen, deliver clean linen to units, and sanitize work areas to ensure guest satisfaction.

We offer 8-hour shifts with rotating weekends and holidays; full-time status; starting wages $16.00 to $17.95 per hour, plus Hero Pay and weekend premiums, with yearly wage increases and strong benefits

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions in English.
• Ability to communicate effectively with residents, physicians, visitors, and all facility personnel.

Our Housekeeping & Laundry Aides perform a variety of tasks to maintain a clean and pleasant environment for all of our guests and residents. Will ensure cleanliness in resident areas, public areas, and support offices ensuring satisfaction is a top priority. This position is responsible for collecting and sorting soiled linen, loading and unloading washing machines, and folding clean linen. This position also counts the amount of linen processed each day, delivers clean laundry to assigned units, and cleans and sanitizes the work area, including machines, worktables, and sorting areas.

You Will Earn

• Starting wages $16.00 to $17.95 per hour depending on experience!
• PLUS Hero Pay ($0.85 per hour!)

We Can Work With Your Scheduling Needs

• 8 hour shifts - All shifts include rotating Weekends (every other weekend) and Some Holidays
• Full Time position
• Housekeeping Shifts: 12:00 PM - 8:00 PM
• Laundry Shifts: 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM

What you will need to be part of our EPIC team:

• Laundry Aide requirements: Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions in English.
• Ability to communicate effectively with residents, physicians, visitors, and all facility personnel.
• Dust mop and damp mop resident rooms, hallways, dining areas, sitting and lobby areas, and other areas as assigned.
• Collect and properly dispose of trash and soiled linen.
• Mix and handle chemicals in a safe manner.
• Strip and refinish floors, clean and shampoo carpets, wash walls, and clean blinds, as assigned.
