Ciena Healthcare's Regency Heights-Detroit is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper/Aide to clean resident rooms, baths and common areas daily, following facility procedures to ensure a safe, sanitary and homelike environment for residents, staff and visitors. Responsibilities include disposing of waste, posting safety hazard signs, following chemical safety instructions, and cross-training in laundry.

• Minimum high school diploma or GED.
• Prefer one year experience as a Housekeeper.

Responsibilities

• Disposes of trash and waste following facility policies and procedures, including biohazardous materials.
• Cross train in Laundry and assist as needed.

The Housekeeper/Aide provides cleaning services to provide a safe, sanitary, comfortable and homelike environment for residents, staff and the public. Housekeeping services provided are maintained in accordance with facility policies and procedures and consistent with state and federal laws and regulations to maintain an environment that enhances the quality of life for residents.

Responsibilities

• Cleans (dust, dry mop, wet mop, sanitize, scrub) assigned resident rooms, bathrooms and common areas daily according to facility procedures.
• Disposes of trash and waste, including biohazardous waste and other materials that require special handling, in accordance with facility policies and procedures.
• Posts signs to indicate safety hazards at any time housekeeping activities pose environmental hazards to staff, residents, visitors or others in the facility.
• Comply with all safety instructions and procedures when using chemical substances. Refers to labels and Material Safety Data Sheets for instructions.
• Cross train in Laundry and assist as needed

Education and/or Experience

• Minimum high school diploma or general education degree (GED),
• Prefer one year experience as a Housekeeper
