Job summary

Warroad Senior Living Center is hiring a Housekeeping Aide for a day shift in Warroad, MN. The role supports resident rooms and common areas, maintaining a clean and sanitary environment for residents and staff.

The position offers 15–20 hours per week with a pay range of $19.00–$23.13 per hour and a comprehensive benefits package for eligible associates.

Qualifications

• No formal education is required.
• Annual continuing education requirements of the department and facility.
• Knowledge of general day-to-day housekeeping tasks in each department/area of the facility.
• Follow cleaning policy and procedures and chemical safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and sanitary environment in resident rooms and assigned areas for residents and staff by following infection control, safety, and procedural guidelines.
• Perform cleaning tasks including emptying waste baskets, sweeping, scrubbing, waxing, or polishing floors, and using appropriate cleaning tools.
• Operate and store supplies and equipment properly; keep storage areas clean and well-stocked.
• Wear proper PPE and follow guidelines for cleaning chemicals.
• May assist in laundry areas as appropriate.

Job Summary

The Housekeeping Aide is responsible for maintaining a safe and sanitary environment in resident rooms and assigned areas for Warroad Senior Living Center residents and staff members by following infection control, safety, and procedural guidelines. Tasks that the individual will be responsible for include but not limited to; emptying waste baskets, sweeping, scrubbing, waxing, or polishing floors, using brooms, mops, or powered scrubbing and waxing machines. Demonstrate knowledge of housekeeping processes, tools and techniques in a healthcare environment; ability to apply this to provide a clean and sterile environment for patients and facility staff. May be responsible for the following locations to clean but not limited to; resident rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, locker rooms, and other work areas so that health standards are met. Wearing the proper protective equipment following the appropriate guidelines is required. Storage, equipment and carts must be kept well-stocked, clean, and tidy. May be required to assist in the laundry areas as appropriate.

Physical activities include but not limited to, considerable use of arms and legs and moving of whole body; such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, twisting, squatting, and handling materials. Ability to lift and/or move up to 40-50lbs and push/pull up variable weight limits on flat surfaces or up and down ramps. This position will require the individual to be on their feet for most of their shift. May be exposed to certain levels of noise with the equipment in operation.

Qualifications

No formal education is required.

Must fulfill the annual continuing education requirements of the department and facility including departmental meetings, safety education and mandatory online training. Employees must have knowledge of general day-to-day housekeeping tasks in each of the various departments/areas of the facility. Employees are also responsible for following the cleaning policy and procedure for each department while following guidelines in the use of cleaning/sanitation chemicals.
