Forest Glen Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in Springfield is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to join our environmental services team. You will help maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents, following established cleaning schedules and infection control protocols.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of cleaning techniques, equipment, and safety practices.
• Ability to work efficiently and independently with minimal supervision.

• Ability to interact professionally and compassionately with residents, families, and coworkers.
• Flexible to work weekends and holidays as scheduled.
• Previous housekeeping or environmental services experience preferred (especially in a healthcare setting).

Responsibilities

• Perform daily cleaning of resident rooms, bathrooms, common areas, and nursing stations
• Follow cleaning schedules and protocols to ensure proper sanitation
• Handle laundry duties, including collecting, washing, drying, folding, and distributing linens
• Maintain cleanliness of floors by sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming
• Properly use and store cleaning supplies and equipment
• Report any maintenance or safety issues to the appropriate department
• Ensure infection control procedures are followed at all times
