Job summary

North Rehab in Saint Petersburg, FL is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to maintain a clean, safe, sanitary, and comfortable environment for residents, staff, and visitors.

You will perform daily room cleaning, sanitize facilities, conduct deep cleans, manage waste, restock supplies, report hazards, and interact with residents with warmth and respect.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Experience in cleaning, janitorial work, or healthcare preferred but not required.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English to safely handle chemical labels.

Responsibilities

• Dust, vacuum, dry mop, and wet mop resident bedrooms and living spaces daily.
• Clean and disinfect washbasins, toilets, showers, mirrors, and chrome fixtures with medical-grade disinfectants.
• Deep clean window blinds, light fixtures, windowsills, bed frames, and mattress covers during scheduled deep cleans.
• Empty and reline waste baskets daily; safely remove isolation room waste following biohazard procedures.
• Maintain a clean, organized housekeeping cart and restock sanitation supplies without leaving chemicals unattended.
• Report broken equipment, maintenance issues, or safety hazards to the EVS Supervisor promptly.
• Interact with residents with warmth and respect, preserving privacy, dignity, and personal space.

• Resident Room Cleaning: Dust, vacuum, dry mop, and wet mop resident bedrooms and living spaces daily.

• Safety Compliance: Report any broken equipment, maintenance issues, or safety hazards immediately to the EVS Supervisor.
• Resident Interaction: Embody warmth and respect when working around residents, respecting their privacy, dignity, and personal space.
