Responsibilities

• Clean corridors, living rooms, activities rooms.
• Clean toilet rooms including sinks, mirrors, fixtures, walls and floors.
• Dry and wet mop floors in bathrooms; dust furniture and bed areas; wash and disinfect as scheduled.
• Wash and disinfect handrails, doors, windows, and curtains as assigned.
• Maintain housekeeping carts and janitors closets stocked; perform all related housekeeping tasks.

Job description

Must be responsible and able to perform cleaning and other related duties as assigned. Responsible for taking inventory, stocking supplies.

AREA:

All four floors, Main Street, Woodland Haven and Activities.

All five kitchens, tower dining rooms, three season rooms and staff dining.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Works in well lighted and ventilated areas. Stands, bends and lifts intermittently during the work day.

PERSONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

Must be 18 years of age, in good mental and physical health. Must be a high school graduate or equivalent. Experience preferred with some knowledge of cleaning procedures. Must be able to follow oral and written directions. Must have a willingness to work with other department staff and supervisors.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Clean corridors, living rooms, activities rooms.
• Clean all toilet rooms (sink, mirror, toilet light fixtures, grab bars, walls, floors, light switches, etc.).
• Dry and wet mop floors in bathrooms.
• Dust furniture, window ledges, and beds, wash and disinfect as scheduled.
• Wash and disinfect handrails, furniture, doors, etc. as assigned
• Wash windows, glass on doors, entrance, etc. as assigned.
• Wash and/or maintain windows, curtains, valances, blinds and cubicle curtains as needed,
• Clean and keep stocked housekeeping carts and janitors closets.
• Clean all other areas as assigned.
• Wheelchair/commode cleaning.
• All other related housekeeping tasks as assigned.

KITCHEN DUTIES

• Detailed cleaning of floors, ceilings, walls, stainless steel, vents, hoods, mats, and ovens.
• Removing kick plates to access under ovens, sink, and cabinets.
• Treating two compartment sink drain.
• Addition Assigned Duties as Required

Living Room, Dining Room, Three Season Room, Staff Dining

• Detailed cleaning of walls, dusting, tables and chairs, convectors, exterior of cabinets, and stainless steel.
• Addition Assigned Duties as Required

SUMMARY OF OCCUPATIONAL EXPOSURES:

• Blood borne Pathogens: Tasks that involve exposure to blood, body fluids or tissue.
• All procedures or other job related tasks that involve an inherent potential for mucus membrane or skin contact with blood, body fluids or tissues, or a potential for spills, splashes of them.
