Lancaster Nursing & Rehabilitation Center is seeking a dedicated Housekeeping Aide to maintain a clean, safe, sanitary, and welcoming environment for residents, staff, and visitors.

Qualifications

• Previous housekeeping experience preferred but not required.
• Experience in a nursing home, rehabilitation center, or healthcare setting is a plus.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Must be reliable, punctual, and professional.
• Ability to communicate respectfully with residents, visitors, and coworkers.
• Must follow all facility policies, infection control standards, and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize resident rooms, bathrooms, hallways, common areas, offices, and other designated areas throughout the facility.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and disinfect surfaces according to established cleaning schedules.
• Empty trash containers and properly dispose of waste in accordance with facility policies.
• Clean and disinfect high-touch surfaces to help prevent the spread of infections.
• Replenish supplies such as toilet paper, paper towels, soap, and other necessary items.
• Follow proper infection control procedures and safety guidelines.
• Safely handle, store, and use cleaning chemicals and equipment.
• Maintain housekeeping carts, supplies, and equipment in a clean and organized manner.
• Report maintenance concerns, safety hazards, or damaged equipment to the appropriate supervisor.
• Respect residents' privacy, dignity, and personal belongings while performing housekeeping duties.
• Assist with additional cleaning assignments and special projects as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Housekeeping Director.
