Job summary

Paycom - ATS in Houston, TX is hiring a full-time housekeeping assistant. You will clean patient and non-patient areas, handle waste, and maintain confidentiality of resident and employee information.

Candidate should be able to lift and move objects, operate cleaning equipment, and work weekends/holidays as required. Previous housekeeping experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• 1 year of housekeeping or maintenance experience preferred.
• Able to handle chemicals safely.
• Able to work weekends and holidays as required.
• Operates automated cleaning equipment as assigned.
• Must stand, stoop, bend, and walk an eight-hour shift.
• 6 months experience in housekeeping preferred.

Responsibilities

• Cleans closets and drawers as needed.
• Collects refuse and regulated medical waste and disposes of it per policy.
• Adheres to safety rules for hazardous waste and proper PPE.
• Maintains residents/employee information confidentiality.
• Moves furniture and heavy objects using proper lifting techniques.
• Empties and cleans waste baskets and relines liners.
• Completes duties within schedule.
• Makes beds and changes linens.
• Ensures patient areas are cleaned per guidelines.
• Ensures non-patient areas are cleaned (dusting, mopping, vacuuming, etc.).
• Restocks dispensers as needed.

Job Details: Job Location: Houston, TX 77074, Position Type: Full Time, Salary Range: $10.00 - $10.50 Hourly,

• Cleans closets and drawers as needed


• Collects refuge and regulated medical waste and disposes of it according to the established policy and procedure


• Adheres to all safety issues relative to hazardous waste, soiled linen and proper wearing apparel


• Maintains residents/employee information confidential at all times


• Moves furniture and other heavy objects as required utilizing proper lifting and/or transfer techniques


• Empties and cleans wastes baskets, relines containers and liners


• Completes job duties within required timeframe, according to established schedules or workflow requirements


• Makes beds and changes linen


• Ensures all check out and patient area cleaning is complete per all guidelines/procedures


• Ensures that all non-patient areas are cleaned as assigned, to include, but not limited to, washing, dusting, mopping, and vacuuming floors, windows, fixtures, furniture, bathrooms, lights, screens, and blinds, Ensures that all dispensers are filled appropriately

Qualifications:

1. 1 year previous housekeeping or maintanence experience preferred


2. Must be able to handle/interact with all chemicals used


3. Must be able to work weekends, holidays, and even hours as needed per assigned area


4. Depending on individual job assignment must be able to operate automated cleaning equipment/machinery


5. Performance of job duties requires standing, stooping, bending and walking for a duration of an eight hour shift


6. 6 months experience in housekeeping preferred
