Job summary

The Housekeeper/Aide role at CienaHealthcare focuses on cleaning and maintaining a safe, sanitary, and homelike environment for residents, staff, and visitors in line with facility policies and laws.

Responsibilities include daily cleaning of rooms and common areas, proper waste disposal, safety signage, chemical safety adherence, and occasional laundry support as needed. GED or higher is required with preferred housekeeping experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or GED.
• Prefer one year experience as a Housekeeper.

Responsibilities

• Cleans assigned resident rooms, bathrooms and common areas daily per facility procedures.
• Disposes of trash and waste, including biohazardous waste, per facility policies.
• Post safety hazard signs when housekeeping activities pose environmental hazards.
• Follow safety instructions when using chemical substances; refer to MSDS for instructions.
• Cross train in Laundry and assist as needed.

Housekeeping services provided are maintained in accordance with facility policies and procedures and consistent with state and federal laws and regulations to maintain an environment that enhances the quality of life for residents.

Responsibilities

• Cleans (dust, dry mop, wet mop, sanitize, scrub) assigned resident rooms, bathrooms and common areas daily according to facility procedures.
• Disposes of trash and waste, including biohazardous waste and other materials that require special handling, in accordance with facility policies and procedures.
• Posts signs to indicate safety hazards at any time housekeeping activities pose environmental hazards to staff, residents, visitors or others in the facility.
• Comply with all safety instructions and procedures when using chemical substances. Refers to labels and Material Safety Data Sheets for instructions.
• Cross train in Laundry and assist as needed

Education and/or Experience

• Minimum high school diploma or general education degree (GED),
• Prefer one year experience as a Housekeeper
