Job summary

Pretium Packaging is seeking a Maintenance/Housekeeping associate at our Saint Louis, MO facility. You will perform day shift cleaning, restocking, and routine upkeep across offices, restrooms, lobbies and production areas to ensure a clean, safe workplace.

Requirements include reading and writing English, basic high school education, and 1–2 years of related experience. The role supports a 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM day shift and may require overtime.

Qualifications

• Requires ability to read and write English to follow daily job assignments.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 1–2 years of related cleaning/maintenance experience helpful.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain all areas of the facility including restrooms, offices, lobbies and lunchrooms.
• Operate and maintain janitorial equipment and supplies.
• Assist with safe handling of cleaning chemicals and adherence to safety protocols.

• Knowledge of cleaning equipment (vacuums, shop vacs, paper dispensers, sanitary dispensers).
• Physical ability for light lifting, climbing ladders and repetitive motions are essential due to the large facility a Housekeeper is responsible for cleaning.
• Cleaning of all restroom areas to include:
• All plumbing fixtures
• Sinks, showers
• Lighting fixtures and shades
• Ductwork, vents, cold air return vents
• Empty all waste cans
• Cleaning of all office areas to include:
• All walls, floors, doors, windows
• Lighting fixtures and shades
• Empty all waste cans
• Cleaning all lobbies and connecting hallways to include:
• Vacuum or mop floors
• Drinking fountains
• Public phones
• Cleaning all lunchroom areas to include:
• All tables, chairs, counter tops and sinks
• All doors, windows, walls and floors
• All vending machines
• Refrigerators and ice machines
• Filling all paper product dispensers.
• Cleaning up spills and trash debris in and around the facility as directed by management personnel.
• Cleaning and maintaining the janitorial storerooms.
• Basic cleaning and maintenance of janitorial equipment.
• Cleaning in any other area of the facility as directed by management or as directed by a written housekeeping schedule.
• Responsible for conducting him/herself in a safe manner and adhering to all required safety protocols and policies.
• Required to wear PPE properly in accordance with company standards.
• Must be able to work assigned shifts, including working overtime and attending after hour meetings as needed.
• May be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned.

Food Safety Responsibilities

• Monitor and verify activities to ensure that all products coming in and out of the facility meet food safety standards in addition to quality standards.
• Comply with all company food safety and quality assurance procedures and document data correctly at all times.
• Ensure all work product contact surfaces are restored to sanitary condition after any job completion.
• Report any product or process failures that could impact food safety of manufactured product to
  Quality and/or Line/Maintenance Supervision.
