Job summary

ALULA is seeking a part-time housekeeping associate to clean and sanitize across our facilities, including restrooms, production areas, dining spaces, and offices. The schedule is Tuesday–Saturday, 12:00 PM–5:00 PM (25 hours weekly).

You must lift up to 20 pounds and stand for extended periods while following safety rules. Prior cleaning experience is preferred; this role supports a clean, welcoming environment for employees and visitors.

Responsibilities

• Clean, sanitize, and restock restrooms throughout the facility, including main hall, production, shipping/receiving, administration, life skills, and warehouse areas.
• Sweep, vacuum, and mop floors in hallways, restrooms, life skills areas, offices, and meeting rooms, including cleaning along baseboards.
• Deep clean and scrub floors as needed.
• Empty and properly dispose of trash throughout assigned areas.
• Dust furniture and surfaces as needed.
• Clean and sanitize production-area hand sinks and restock sanitizer, gloves, hair nets, and beard nets.
• Replace lab coats in production areas.
• Clean water fountains, lockers, walls, baseboards, and time clocks in production areas.
• Clean facility windows as needed.
• Clean and sanitize toilets, sinks, floors, mirrors, and restroom stalls.
• Restock restroom paper products and other necessary supplies.
• Maintain accurate bathroom cleaning checklist forms.
• Keep housekeeping and supply storage areas clean, organized, and orderly.
• Gather cleaning supplies and return them to the appropriate storage areas when finished.
• Report housekeeping and cleaning supply needs to the appropriate personnel and/or Purchasing.
• Provide backup assistance to the Kitchen Housekeeper as needed.
• Order food from suppliers as assigned.
• Follow all ALULA safety, sanitation, and housekeeping procedures.
• Perform other duties and assist with other assignments as directed by the supervisor.

SCHEDULE

Looking for a consistent afternoon schedule? This part-time position offers 25 hours per week, with your mornings free and a steady Tuesday-Saturday schedule.

OBJECTIVE

Help keep ALULA clean, sanitary, comfortable, and welcoming for our employees, visitors, and the people we serve. This role plays an important part in creating a safe and positive environment throughout our facilities.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL

• Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical activities such as lifting up to 20 pounds, stooping, bending, twisting, pushing, and working at heights above ground level.
• Ability to work independently and stay on top of assigned cleaning responsibilities.
• Attention to detail and pride in maintaining clean, sanitary, and orderly spaces.
• Ability to work cooperatively and respectfully with coworkers, employees, visitors, and service recipients.
• Ability and willingness to follow ALULA safety and sanitation rules and procedures.
• Ability to follow the guidelines outlined in the ALULA Employee Handbook.
• Maintain an acceptable standard of conduct and consistently demonstrate professionalism and respect in interactions with others.

QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous housekeeping, custodial, sanitation, or related experience preferred.
• Comparable work experience may be considered at the discretion of a qualified ALULA representative.
