Job summary

Symphony Care Network seeks a dedicated Housekeeper to uphold a clean, comfortable environment across our facility. Under supervision, you will perform daily cleaning, assist with laundry, and ensure rooms and common areas are well maintained for residents and staff.

The role requires physical stamina and a customer-service mindset to support residents' wellbeing and comfort. Full-time or part-time positions available, with shift flexibility as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Experience in long-term care or hospitality is preferred.
• Demonstrated passion for helping others and delivering service.
• Excellent customer service skills and communication.
• Ability to multitask and manage several cleaning tasks simultaneously.
• Must have physical stamina to lift up to 35 pounds and move throughout shift.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily cleaning functions in patient rooms, common areas, and facilities.
• Clean and polish furnishings, fixtures, and surfaces as directed.
• Sanitize bathroom fixtures and maintain cleanliness of rooms and corridors.
• Clean windows, mirrors, and remove dust from all surfaces.
• Maintain floors through sweeping, mopping, and disinfecting.
• Report repairs or supply needs to supervisor, and assist in laundry as needed.
• Other housekeeping duties as assigned by supervisor.

Job Summary:

Under the direction of the Environmental Services Director and Assistant Director, the Housekeeper is responsible for cleaning all facility areas and assisting in maintaining a clean and comfortable environment. This position may also assist in doing the Laundry

Essential Functions:

• Perform daily cleaning functions as assigned


• Clean/polish furnishings, fixtures, ledges, heating/cooling units, etc in rooms, common areas daily as instructed


• Clean wash, sanitize and/or polish bathroom fixtures


• Clean windows/mirrors in rooms, common areas, bathrooms and entrances/exits


• Clean floors to include sweeping, mopping, disinfecting, etc.


• Clean walls as needed


• Use proper cleaning/disinfecting solutions and ensure that appropriate supplies are maintained


• Discard waste/trash into proper containers, including any infectious waste into appropriate containers


• Clean and sanitize vacant rooms in preparation for future residents


• Collect resident clothing and linens, sort and launder, iron if needed, returning to resident rooms when complete


• Mend or repair clothing if possible


• Report any repairs needed to supervisor


• All other duties as assigned

Requirements

Qualifications/Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED


• Long-term care or hospitality industry experience preferred

• Physical Requirements include ability to Lift up to 35 pounds, push and pull objects up to 35 pounds, ability to move consistently throughout the workday.
