Job summary

Agape-Network in Miami, FL is hiring for a custodial/housekeeping position to maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary facility. You will perform a range of tasks to reflect high quality of care and appearance for residents and staff.

The role requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and relies on teamwork within a maintenance staff. Prior cleaning experience is preferred, and you will be part of a staff that meets regularly to coordinate tasks and safety protocols.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in custodial/housekeeping preferred.
• Ability to work as part of a maintenance team.

Responsibilities

• Clean all common areas and rooms by sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, scrubbing, waxing, and polishing.
• Empty and sanitize trash containers in common use areas.
• Move, rearrange, and dust furniture and fixtures.
• Wipe and polish exterior apartment doors, polish brass doorknobs and other fixtures.
• Vacuum the dining room and wipe tables and chairs after use during daytime shift.
• Mix and blend cleaning solutions to proper concentrations for each task and assure safe use.
• Clean and polish entryways and lobby glass, doors and furniture; dust drapes and blinds.
• Buff and polish highly visible areas needing extra attention as needed.
• Attend and participate in all staff meetings and keep information confidential as appropriate.
• Maintain a team approach toward all staff and be a strong team member as part of maintenance staff.
• Performs other duties as assigned by direct supervisor.

Position Summary

Perform custodial and housekeeping tasks. Maintain the facility in a clean, safe, and sanitary manner. Perform all tasks to assure that the facility reflects a high quality of care and appearance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Clean all common areas and rooms by sweeping vacuuming, mopping, scrubbing, waxing, and polishing.
2. Empty and sanitize trash containers in common use areas.
3. Move, rearrange, and dust furniture and fixtures.
4. Wipe and polish exterior apartment doors, polish brass doorknobs and other fixtures.
5. Vacuum the dining room and wipe tables and chairs after use during daytime shift.
6. Mix and blend cleaning solutions to proper concentrations for each task and assure that the lasting odor or solutions do not cause any irritable conditions to people or pets.
7. Clean and polish all entryway and lobby glass, doors and furniture; vacuum and mop entryway floor as needed; dust drapes and mini blinds as needed.
8. Buff and polish highly visible and heavily used areas needing extra attention as needed.
9. Attend and participate in all staff meetings and keep information confidential as appropriate.
10. Maintain a team approach toward all staff and be a strong team member as part of the maintenance staff.
11. Performs other duties as assigned by direct supervisor.
