Job summary

ATC in Knoxville, TN is seeking a dependable housekeeping professional to maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment across the production floor, warehouse, offices, restrooms, lobby and break rooms.

This role requires following established procedures, safety rules, and good communication with supervision; you must be able to lift up to 40 lbs and operate cleaning equipment in a non-climate-controlled setting.

Responsibilities

• Performs the day-to-day housekeeping functions in accordance with established housekeeping procedures and as assigned by supervision.
• Follows established safety precautions when performing tasks and when using equipment and supplies; reports all hazardous equipment or conditions and accidents/incidents to the supervisor, no matter how minor they may be.
• Clean all communal areas of the building including offices, hallways, lobbies, office break room, and restrooms.
• Cleans production and warehouse floors, employee break room, and employee restrooms.
• Check stocking levels of all consumables and replace when appropriate or notify supervisor of material deficits.
• Deal with reasonable complaints/requests with professionalism and patience.
• Proactive communication and ready response anytime the need arises.
• Keeps supervisor informed regarding any contract vendor discrepancies.
• Adhere strictly to rules regarding environmental, health and safety company policy.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, squat, and perform light lifting.
• Physically able to operate cleaning equipment.
• Capable of pushing, pulling, or lifting to 25 to 40 lbs.
• Frequently exposed to cleaning chemicals.
• Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled environment.
