Job summary

INTOWN SUITES in Kennesaw, GA is seeking a full-time Housekeeping/Room Attendant to clean guest rooms and public areas according to SOPs. You will handle trash, maintain cleanliness, and ensure guest satisfaction while supporting team operations.

Responsibilities include restroom and kitchen area cleaning, floor care, stocking supplies, and reporting safety concerns to supervision. The role requires physical stamina and reliable, customer-focused performance.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of housekeeping and laundry SOPs and techniques.
• Ability to follow instructions, directions and meet deadlines.
• Ability to clean the minimum required rooms per shift.
• Ability to scrub and scour surfaces and reach overhead when cleaning.
• Ability to stoop, bend and squat during tasks.
• Ability to work across multiple housekeeping positions as needed.
• Ability to visually inspect rooms and areas for quality.
• Ability to manage multiple activities under time constraints.

Responsibilities

• Clean guest rooms according to company SOP.
• Remove trash and debris from guest rooms and surroundings.
• Ensure areas meet company standards.
• Clean bathroom areas including tub, toilet, sinks, walls, lights, and linens.
• Clean kitchen and dining areas including fridge, microwave, sink, counters and tables.
• Vacuum and wash floors; dust and polish furnishings.
• Maintain exterior appearance by cleaning doors, siding, and windows.
• Notify Head Guest Room Attendant of room readiness.
• Restock supplies on housekeeping cart at end of shift.
• Operate housekeeping equipment per SOP.
• Report safety or security violations to supervisor immediately.
• Report guest concerns to supervisor promptly.
• Maintain superior customer service when interacting with guests.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Clean guest rooms according to company standard operating procedures
• Remove trash and miscellaneous debris from guest rooms and surrounding areas
• Ensure all areas of hotel are up to company standards even if not assigned cleaning area
• Clean bath area including tub, toilet, sinks, walls, lights, removing and replacing bath linens
• Clean kitchen and dining area including refrigerator, microwave, sink, counters, cabinets, and tables
• Clean floors by vacuuming and washing floors according to standard operating procedures
• Maintain all furnishings by dusting and polishing furniture and appliances
• Maintain outside of room appearance by cleaning siding, A/C grill, doors, and windows
• Notify Head Guest Room Attendant of room readiness
• Keep supplies ready by restocking housekeeping cart at the end of shift
• Operate housekeeping equipment by following standard operating procedures
• Notify supervisor immediatelyof any safety and/or security violations of policy
• Notify supervisor immediatelyof any guest concerns
• Maintain superior customer service when interacting with guests

Essential Qualifications:

• Possess good knowledge of housekeeping/laundry standard operating procedures and techniques
• Ability to follow instructions, directions and meet deadlines
• Ability to clean the minimum required rooms per shift
• Ability to scrub and scour surfaces, extend arms overhead when performing cleaning tasks and the ability to stoop, bend and squat
• Ability to step in and perform a variety of housekeeping/laundry positions in response to business needs
• Ability to visually inspect guest rooms, public areas, service areas, etc. for quality in cleanliness and presentation
• Ability to manage multiple activities often in stressful situations and with time constraints

Work Environment and Physical Requirements:

• Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
• Occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision,depthperception,and ability to adjust focus.
• Indoor work with hard and carpeted surfaces
• Standing for eight (8) hour shifts
• Exposure to extreme weather conditions,coldand heat
