Job summary

United Surgical Partners International in Houston, TX is seeking a Housekeeping Attendant under the supervision of the Facilities Manager. The role involves cleaning and disinfecting environments and preparing spaces for patient care, while unloading linen carts and keeping the linen room organized.

You will stock linen carts, maintain sanitary, attractive and orderly conditions across assigned areas, and perform routine cleaning across patient rooms, isolation rooms, offices and restrooms

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to read, write and follow instructions.
• Minimum of two years of housekeeping experience; hospital experience preferred.
• Follow established cleaning methods in daily tasks.
• Knowledge of cleaning and disinfecting agents with dwell times.
• Ability to clean patient rooms, isolation rooms, offices and restrooms.
• Lift up to 35 pounds.
• Keep equipment and carts in good working condition.
• Stock linen carts and manage trash as needed.

Responsibilities

JOB SUMMARY

Under the supervision of the Facilities manager, the Housekeeping attendant is responsible for environmental cleaning and disinfecting, unloading linen carts and keeping linen room organized. This individual performs a variety of routine cleaning functions, isolation room terminal cleaning and stocking the linen carts in assigned area to maintain a sanitary, attractive and orderly condition.

Required Skills:

• Completion of high school education or equivalent preferred.


• Be able to read, write and follow instructions.


• Minimum of two years of housekeeping experience. Hospital experience preferred.


• Have the ability to follow established cleaning methods in performing daily tasks.


• Preferred knowledge of cleaning and disinfecting agents with dwell (kill) times.


• Be able to perform daily cleaning of assigned patient rooms, isolation rooms, offices, restrooms and other areas.


• Lift up to 35 pounds.


• Be able to keep all equipment in good working condition.


• Must be able to perform periodic or situational duties as assigned by immediate supervisor such as stocking linen carts and taking out trash carts.


• Be able to keep carts and work areas organized.
