Job summary

Parkway Care and Rehab in Edwardsville, KS is hiring a Part-time Housekeeper/Floor Tech to join our compassionate team. You will alternate between cleaning resident rooms, restrooms, and common areas and performing floor stripping and waxing under the guidance of a veteran supervisor.

We offer a competitive up to $15.00 per hour and a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, disability, FSA, a 401(k), PTO, life insurance, CEU reimbursement and Daily Pay.

Qualifications

• Must follow written and oral instructions.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Must be willing to work some weekends.
• Housekeeping experience preferred but not required; willingness to learn is required.
• Solid communication skills, attention to detail and multi-tasking skills.
• Ability to read, write and speak English sufficient to perform job duties and communicate with residents and staff.

Responsibilities

• Clean resident rooms, restrooms, hallways and common areas.
• Strip and wax floors and clean carpets as assigned.
• Perform deep cleaning after discharge and prepare rooms for new admissions.
• Participate in special quarterly projects with supervisor guidance.
• Contribute to safety and sanitary conditions and follow company policies.

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A HOUSEKEEPING STAFF

As a housekeeper, you will be led by a veteran leader, Linda Preuss, who will offer you training, guidance and wisdom to ensure your success in your role. Sometimes you will function as a floor technician, cleaning stripping and waxing floors and carpets throughout the facility. Sometimes you will function as a housekeeper, cleaning the resident rooms, restrooms, hallways and common areas.With a close eye for detail, you ensure quality and deep cleaning for residents' rooms after discharge and prepare rooms for new admissions.Sometimes you will work with Linda on special projects that are completely quarterly.
