Job summary

Price Chopper in Plattsburgh, NY is hiring a store cleaner to maintain cleanliness in all store areas and the parking lot, greet customers, and help keep an orderly environment. The role emphasizes fast, friendly service and adherence to safety and sanitation standards.

You will follow 5S guidelines, respond to cleanup requests, and perform related duties as assigned while upholding customer and teammate safety and courtesy on a daily basis.

• Maintain a neat, clean and organized workstation according to 5S standards.
• Respond to requests for cleanups throughout the store.
• Maintain floors and adhere to sanitation standards.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by management and follow company policies.

Provides fast, friendly, helpful and efficient service to all Price Chopper customers. Responsible for cleaning all areas of the store to include floors, shelves, rest rooms, registers and aisles. Maintains the store in terms of neatness and cleanliness, inside and outside, with a focus on customer and associate safety. Provides a high level of customer courtesy and service at all times.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible for maintaining cleanliness in all areas of the store and parking lot, including break rooms, restrooms, backroom, and sales floor, case fronts, bottle return area. Consistently work to provide fast, friendly, and efficient customer service at all times. Responsible for smiling, making eye contact and thanking customer upon fulfilling customer's request. Maintain a neat, clean and organized workstation, according to 5S standards, at all times. Responsible for maintaining the floors within the store. (i.e.: mops, sweeps, and cleans floors.) Respond to requests for "cleanups' throughout the store. Maintain all corporate, state and federal sanitation standards. Perform other related duties as assigned by management and adhere to all company policies and procedures.
