Mercy is hiring an Environmental Services Technician at Mercy Southeast in Cape Girardeau, MO. This role focuses on cleaning and sanitizing across the healthcare facility to uphold infection control standards and a healing environment.

Shifts may include days, evenings, nights, weekends, or holidays. No prior experience is required, but High School diploma or equivalent is preferred; prior hospital environmental service or customer service experience is a plus.

Minimum Qualifications:
Education: None.
Experience: None.

Preferred Qualifications:
Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
Experience: Prior Hospital Environmental service experience. Prior work experience following written and verbal instructions. Previous experience with performing manual tasks. Prior experience working with the public; customer service.

Physical Requirements:

• Position requires individuals to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis.
• Position requires prolonged standing and walking each shift.
• Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
