Job summary

CAPELLA RECOVERY CENTER LLC is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment across the facility, including patient rooms, common areas, and staff spaces. The role supports infection prevention and patient safety while ensuring confidentiality and respect for residents.

The Housekeeper will follow infection prevention protocols, use PPE as required, and assist with laundry duties.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience preferred.
• Experience in healthcare, behavioral health, or residential treatment setting is a plus.
• Knowledge of basic cleaning procedures, sanitation, and infection prevention practices.
• Ability to work independently and follow instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize patient rooms, bathrooms, offices, hallways, and common areas.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and disinfect surfaces as needed.
• Remove trash and dispose of waste according to facility policies and safety procedures.
• Restock cleaning supplies, paper products, and other necessary items.
• Follow infection prevention protocols, including proper use of PPE.
• Safely handle, label, and store cleaning chemicals and equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness of patient living areas while respecting privacy and confidentiality.
• Report maintenance concerns, safety hazards, or damaged equipment to management.
• Assist with laundry and linen services as assigned.
• Follow facility policies, OSHA safety standards, and applicable health regulations.
• Maintain professional and respectful interactions with patients, visitors, and staff.
• Complete additional housekeeping duties as assigned by management.

Position Summary

The Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary environment throughout the facility. This position supports infection prevention, patient safety, and overall facility operations by ensuring that patient rooms, common areas, and other assigned spaces are properly cleaned and maintained.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

1. Clean and sanitize patient rooms, bathrooms, offices, hallways, and common areas.
