Job Summary

A Housekeeper will support general resort operations by cleaning resort units and maintaining resort quality standards. This position promotes Resort Standards and effectively provides services personally or refers requests to the appropriate department manager to exceed guest expectations.

Responsibilities

• Clean resort units, including sleeping quarters, kitchens, bathrooms, and living rooms.
• Maintain and adhere to housekeeping detail standards.
• Clean, vacuum, dust, and sanitize bathrooms, kitchens, and lobbies.
• Makes beds; replenishes supplies such as kitchenware and toiletries; sorts, counts, folds, marks, or carries linens.
• Observe precautions required to protect resort guests and guest property; report damage, theft, and found articles to supervisors.
• Maintain positive customer and associate relationships: respond appropriately to guest inquiries and concerns to ensure total guest satisfaction; handle guest issues to resolution; promote teamwork and quality service through daily communications and coordination with other departments.
• Ensure compliance with internal audit, quality assurance, loss prevention, resort operating procedures, guest service department operating procedures, and standard operating procedures.
• Continuously exhibit the company’s Count on Me philosophy; be responsive to the needs of guests, associates, and those we encounter on the job; deliver a great experience.
• Perform other duties as needed.

Minimum Requirements and Qualifications

Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Training: N/A.

Knowledge and Skills: Detail oriented with organizational skills; familiarity with cleaning products and equipment; ability to read and comprehend routine instructions; ability to give high priority to customer service; maintain a professional appearance and a can‑do, positive attitude towards guests and staff; people oriented and able to work independently or with others.

Technical Skills: Knowledge of general cleaning concepts; knowledge of cleaning chemicals; experience with cleaning tools and equipment.

Job Experience: Six months related housekeeping experience (education may be substituted where applicable).

Compensation

Generally starting at $17.13 per hour. The actual hourly rate will be set based on experience, education, skills, training, and work location.
