Holiday Inn Express is hiring a Housekeeper in Wichita, KS to join our housekeeping team. You will be responsible for cleaning designated suites and public areas and ensuring guest rooms meet brand standards.

The Holiday Inn Express has immediate openings forHousekeepers! We are looking for positive, caring and smiling individuals tojoin our Housekeeping Team!

TheHousekeeper is responsible for all cleaning functions to service designatedsuites and public areas as directed by the Executive Housekeeper or theHousekeeping Supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Receivesa list of rooms at the start of shift to identify rooms and public spacesto be cleaned during shift.
• Completeall pre-cleaning duties, including but not limited to, guest supplies,cleaning supplies and linen for housekeeping cart set-up.
• Must becapable of utilizing both hands to perform such tasks as changing bedlinens, scrubbing pots, etc.
• Must becapable of reaching overhead to dust, clean the tops ofequipment/appliances and place items in cupboards.
• Must becapable of moving light furniture, (i.e. chairs, tables, etc.) to clean upthese items.
• Must practice safe use of all cleaning agents.
• Must beable to follow all safety practices such as wearing personal protectiveequipment, reading chemical warning labels, and other safe work practices.
• Preparehousekeeping cart for the next day’s use.
• Removeall trash and dirty linen from guest suites.
• Keep allhallways, public areas and closets clean, neat and vacuumed.
• Reportall missing items from rooms (i.e. irons/boards, hair dryers, etc.) toExecutive Housekeeper.
• Must beable to use two-way radios, telephones, general office equipment,industrial washer, dryer, irons, vacuum, floor buffer, wet vac and otherhousekeeping equipment.
• Ensureproper care of housekeeping equipment and facilities and report allmaintenance as needed.
• Maintainhigh standards of personal appearance and grooming, which includecompliance with dress code and uniform requirements.
• Alwaysmaintain a professional and friendly demeanor.
• Must beattentive, courteous and efficient in dealings with guests, managers andall other employees.
• Complywith brand standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hoteloperations.
• Establishand maintain good communications and teamwork with fellow employees andother departments within the hotel.
• Exhibithelpful and willing attitude to serve guest requests.
• Communicatewith other hotel staff to accommodate special guest requests.
• Participatein all-employee meetings, events and other functions required bymanagement.
• Befamiliar with all policies, hotel rules and hotel terminology.

Qualifications

PhysicalRequirements

• Heavywork – Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull orotherwise move objects.
• Abilityto stand during entire shift.
• Abilityto reach overhead, utilize both hands, to bend over and to stoop andkneel.
• Abilityto operate light equipment such as vacuum cleaners and dishwashers.
• Must becapable of climbing and descending stairs during their shift.
