Job summary

Sunrise Senior Living in Newton, MA is seeking a Housekeeper to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents. You will contribute to comfort and dignity by upholding high cleanliness standards and respecting residents’ privacy.

The role involves cleaning resident suites and common areas, handling laundry, following infection control procedures, and ensuring equipment and hallways remain organized and compliant. This is a pivotal position in creating a safe home-like atmosphere.

Responsibilities

• Clean resident suites, bathrooms, common areas, and offices
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and sanitize assigned areas
• Clean and polish fixtures, furniture, and surfaces
• Knock before entering resident rooms and respect privacy
• Collect trash and maintain clean disposal areas
• Sort, wash, dry, fold, and distribute community laundry
• Inspect linens for wear and follow replacement procedures
• Store chemicals safely and follow infection control standards
• Keep carts, equipment, and hallways clear and compliant
