Job summary

Hyatt Hotels Corporation is seeking a Room Attendant to join our housekeeping team in a full-time role. The position focuses on maintaining cleanliness of guest rooms and providing an exceptional guest experience through attention to detail and proactive service.

The responsibilities include greeting guests, replenishing supplies, cleaning rooms and corridors, and reporting maintenance needs. Flexible weekends and holidays are required; the hourly rate is $20.50 with overtime and shift

Position Responsibilities/ Essential Functions

• Greeting guests and responding to queries.
• Replacing used towels and other bathroom amenities, such as shampoo and soap.
• Sweeping and mopping floors.
• Dusting and polishing furniture.
• Emptying trash containers.
• Restocking beverages and food items in the mini bar.
• Cleaning public areas, such as corridors.
• Reporting any technical issues and maintenance needs.
• Updating status of guest rooms on assignment sheet.
• Returning and restocking cleaning cart at shift end.
• Check all appliances are in working order.
• Ensure confidentiality and securing guest room.
• Follow all company safety and security procedures.
• Carry out any other reasonable duties and responsibilities as assigned.

The position requires flexibility regarding availability with weekends and holidays and is full-time with hours up to 40 hours/week.

This position’s hourly rate is $20.50/hr.This role is eligible to earn overtime, shift differentials and premium pay under certain circumstances, tips, commissions, service charges, or incentive awards.

Qualifications

• A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment.
• Previous cleaning/EVS experience is preferred.
• Ability to learnabout cleaning and sanitation products, techniques and methods, and cleaning sensitive materials.
• Must be able effectively communicate and execute basic requests in English
• Ability to lift, pull, and push a moderate weight (about 30 lbs.)
• Physical stamina and mobility including ability to reach, pull, squat, kneel and bend
• Ability to stand for long periods of time
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule, typically 8am-4:30pm including weekends and holidays
