Job summary

Juniper Gardens Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation in Gastonia, NC is seeking a dependable Housekeeper to join our Environmental Services team on a part-time basis. The role maintains clean resident rooms and shared spaces, following infection prevention standards to support a safe, welcoming environment for residents, families, staff, and visitors.

The ideal candidate works well independently or with a team, has attention to detail, good customer service, and can lift up to 25 pounds.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous housekeeping experience in healthcare, long-term care, hospitality, or similar environment is preferred but not required.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and remain standing, walking, bending, and lifting throughout the shift.
• Dependable, professional, and committed to maintaining a clean and safe environment.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize resident rooms, bathrooms, hallways, dining areas, offices, and common spaces.
• Dust, sweep, mop, vacuum, and disinfect surfaces according to established cleaning schedules.
• Replenish housekeeping supplies, paper products, and linens as needed.
• Collect and dispose of trash and soiled linens in accordance with infection control procedures.
• Assist with laundry duties as assigned.
• Promptly report maintenance or safety concerns to the appropriate department.
• Follow all infection prevention, safety, and OSHA guidelines.
• Maintain cleaning equipment and supplies in an organized and safe manner.
• Interact professionally and courteously with residents, families, visitors, and coworkers.
• Perform other housekeeping duties as assigned.

Position Summary
