Job summary

Texas Health Dallas is seeking a Housekeeper (PRN / Days) to contribute to a team-focused, patient-centered environment. The role supports infection control and sanitation standards while handling a fast-paced healthcare setting.

The position requires a High School Diploma or equivalent (preferred) and 6 months of hospital or hotel housekeeping experience. Strong communication and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs are important, with weekend work included.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 6 months hospital or hotel housekeeping experience preferred.
• Good verbal and written communication skills; able to work independently, set priorities, and be flexible around chemicals.

Responsibilities

• Clean assigned area(s) according to infection control, sanitation and safety guidelines (sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, trash removal, linen handling, sinks, toilets, counters, showers, beds).
• Replenish supplies on carts or in areas to prepare for next service period.
• Keep equipment clean and report any broken equipment to supervisor.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Work hours: PRN "As Needed", Days, 7:00am - 3:30pm, including weekends.

Here’s What You Need

• H.S. Diploma or Equivalent preferred.
• 6 months of hospital or hotel housekeeping experience highly preferred.
• Good verbal and written communication skills. Capable of working. independently, setting priorities, and being flexible in assignments. Able to work around housekeeping chemicals. Full range of motion and ability to lift 50 lbs.

What You Will Do

• Clean assigned area(s) according to procedure to meet established infection control, sanitation and safety guidelines. This includes, but is not limited to sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, pulling trash, pulling dirty linen, cleaning sinks, commodes, countertops, showers and beds.
• Replenish supplies on housekeeping carts or in assigned areas to prepare work area for next service period.
• Responsible for keeping all equipment clean and reporting all broken equipment to the supervisor.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
