We are currently seeking a dedicated Residential Housekeeper to maintain a high standard of cleanliness across our community—including residential living areas, Personal and Nursing Care spaces, public/common areas, and administrative offices. Summary Of Responsibilities

The Residential Housekeeper provides a high standard of cleanliness in all areas of the facility to ensure a healthy and attractive environment for residents and staff. Responsible for cleaning residential living (apartments, villas, cottages and vistas), Personal Care, Nursing Care, Core/Administration areas, public areas, and common areas.

Essential Functions/Duties

• Adheres to proper and regulatory procedures for cleaning and sanitizing the facility, complying with essential job tasks while striving for a high-quality standard.
• Maintains satisfactory standards in the safe and responsible use of chemicals and equipment.
• Sorts, counts, stocks and distributes clean linen items as required.
• Follows prescribed cleaning procedures for various areas of the facility including routine inspections of area of leadership.
• Moves and exchanges carts, takes down and re‑hangs sheers and drapes.
• Always utilizes Standard precautions for infection control.
• Moves furniture items, as needed, to facilitate cleaning or to set up tables and chairs for special functions. Occasionally climbs ladders to complete cleaning assignments.
• Demonstrates interest in learning additional aspects of the job.
• Demonstrates excellent customer service skills by responding to service requests with a positive attitude and sense of urgency.
• Follows schedules and time frames for tasks to be completed.
• Provides a positive role model especially during new employee training. Provides encouragement and positive examples of life at The Highlands at Wyomissing.
• Assures the safety of the residents within the facility.

Position Type/Expected Hours Of Work

• This position requires the ability to work during nonstandard hours including evenings (depending on shift assigned), weekends, holidays, and during inclement weather.

Hours And Benefits

• Position is a per-diem position with no guaranteed hours or guaranteed shift assignment.
• Position is not benefits eligible.
• Position requires at least one summer and one winter holiday.
• Position is required to work across all levels of care on The Highlands at Wyomissing.

Education And Experience Requirements

• 1-3 Years of experience working with Senior Adults or in a customer service setting
• 1-3 Years prior housekeeping experience
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Possesses outstanding customer service ability
• Reaches maximum productivity after on-the-job training
• Demonstrated Leadership skills

Certification And Licensure Requirements

• Valid Pennsylvania Driver's License and Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record Check (preferred)

Work Authorization/Security Clearances

• Medical Screening
• Criminal History Clearance
• FBI Fingerprint Clearance (Only required if you have not lived in PA for the last 2 years)
• Immigration and naturalization (I-9) Clearance

Physical Requirements And Physical Demands

• Hearing: Adequate to perform job duties in person and over the telephone.
• Speaking: Must be able to communicate clearly in person and over the telephone.
• Writing: Must be able to accurately document pertinent information either by writing or typing.
• Vision: Visual acuity adequate to perform job duties, including reading information from printed sources and computer screens.
• Continuously within shift (67-100%): Standing, Walking, Lifting 10 lbs. maximum and occasionally lifting and/or carrying objects
• Frequently within shift (34-66%): Climbing, Bending, Crouching, Squatting, Lifting 20 lbs. maximum and frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 10 lbs.
• Occasionally within shift (1-33%): Crawling, Kneeling, Pulling with force, Reaching above head, Lift from floor level up, Lift from waist level up, Lift above shoulders/head, Lifting 50 lbs. maximum and frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 25 lbs.
