Job summary

McClure Post Acute is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Housekeeper for an on-call role in Oakland, CA. You will maintain cleanliness and safety across resident rooms, bathrooms, hallways, and common areas, while following infection control procedures and collaborating with nursing staff.

The position requires flexibility to respond to on-call scheduling, good communication, and the ability to lift and stand for extended periods in a healthcare environment.

Qualifications

• Previous housekeeping experience in a healthcare, skilled nursing, or hospitality setting is preferred but not required.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Reliable, dependable, and able to respond to on-call scheduling needs.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Must be able to lift, bend, push, pull, and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize resident rooms, bathrooms, hallways, and common areas.
• Dust, sweep, mop, vacuum, and empty trash receptacles.
• Replenish housekeeping and restroom supplies as needed.
• Follow infection control procedures and safety guidelines.
• Report maintenance concerns or safety hazards promptly.
• Handle cleaning chemicals and equipment safely.
• Work collaboratively with nursing and other departments to ensure a clean and comfortable environment.
