Job summary

Rutland Place Senior Living is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to clean and sanitize private resident apartments and common areas. You will operate independently or with occasional team support to maintain a welcoming living environment.

The role requires attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to read, write, and speak English. Previous housekeeping experience is preferred, with physical ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for extended periods.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Strip bed and change linens; remake the bed; launder sheets, fold and return to resident.
• Clean and disinfect bathroom: toilet, shower/tub, sink, counters, medicine cabinet.
• Dust furniture, blinds, ceiling fan, windowsills; wipe surfaces.
• Vacuum living room and bedroom(s).
• Kitchen cleaning: sanitize sink, counters, refrigerator, microwave; sweep and mop floor.

Rutland Place Senior Living is looking for a Housekeeper to join our team. The Housekeeper will clean, sanitize, and maintain private resident apartments and common areas in the building.

The ideal person for this position has experience, enjoys working individually or on occasion as a team, is well-spoken, energetic, and personable.

Weekly or every other week housekeeping services at Rutland Place include the following:

• Strip bed and change linens; remake the bed; launder sheets-fold and return to resident.
• Clean and disinfect bathroom: toilet, shower/tub, exhaust fan cover, light fixture, sink, countertop, medicine cabinet; sweep and mop bathroom floor.
• Dust all cleared surfaces of furniture; dust blinds, ceiling fan, and wipe out windowsills; clean glass top tables.
• Vacuum living room and bedroom(s).
• Kitchen: wipe off and disinfect sink, countertop, refrigerator and microwave, stove and cabinets. Sweep and mop floor.

It is the resident’s responsibility to have the apartment “ready” for housekeeping.

Requirements:

• Must be able to stand for long periods of time and reach, bend, lift and pull
