Overview: Job Description Summary: Coordinates the tasks and duties of the housekeeping staff as set by management and ensures high levels of cleanliness, quality, and service. Provides a quality environment for patient care.

Essential Functions

• Provides on the job training for new employees.
• Serves as a role model and mentor to other housekeepers.
• Performs quality control inspections.
• Cleans assigned areas as needed.
• Assess staffing levels to ensure proper coverage.
• Performs routine cleaning and coordinates with engineering to address and resolve facility maintenance and service issues.
• Demonstrates knowledge of 10 Step Cleaning Process and appropriate chemical use to meet department standards.
• Models proper methods of Infection Control in conjunction with cleaning procedures.
• Effectively relates and interacts with patients, families, staff.

Education Requirement

High School graduate or equivalent, required.
