Job summary

Harmony Senior Services is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to clean common areas and resident apartments in a Brentwood community. You will oversee cleaning, operate laundry equipment, and report maintenance needs to the supervisor.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED and preferred housekeeping experience. Flexibility for weekends/holidays, attention to detail, and good teamwork are essential for maintaining a safe, comfortable living environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required or equivalent.
• Housekeeping experience is highly desired.
• Must understand verbal and written instructions.
• Must complete assignments thoroughly and on time.
• Must work well with others as part of a team.
• Be polite and courteous to all residents, visitors, co-workers and management.
• Must stand, walk, kneel, bend, grasp, push and pull for extended periods.
• Must lift 25 lbs and carry heavy objects up to 20 feet.
• Must wear designated uniform and maintain good personal hygiene.
• Must be willing to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Dust and clean window blinds and furniture in all areas.
• Vacuum common areas and resident apartments.
• Maintain cleanliness of common areas and bathrooms.
• Clean apartments at resident move-out.
• Attend required in-services and staff meetings.
• Maintain resident privacy and confidentiality.

Job Description

The Housekeeper shall be responsible for cleaning common living areas and resident apartments in the community.

• Oversee cleaning of the entire facility, with particular emphasis on the common areas and the apartment bathrooms
• Complete maintenance request reports when needed
• Report deterioration or damage to the building and furnishings to housekeeping supervisor
• Operate the laundry equipment when needed
• Report inadequate quantities of all supplies needed to perform duties to housekeeping supervisor
• Use only approved cleaning products and ensure that all cleaning supplies are properly stored at all times
• Clean office areas when assigned
• Dust and clean all window blinds in the community
• Dust all furniture, book shelves, etc. in resident apartments and common areas
• Vacuum common areas and resident apartments
• Keep common area and resident bathrooms clean
• Clean apartments at resident move-out
• Attend required in-services and staff meetings
• Maintain resident privacy/confidentiality at all times. Follow all policies regarding release of resident information
• Other duties as assigned
