Job summary

Cedarbrook Senior Living is seeking a Housekeeper/Laundry Aide to support residents and their families by maintaining clean living spaces and handling laundry services on-site.

The role involves cleaning apartments and common areas, laundering linens, stocking supplies, and safely operating cleaning equipment. Weekend work on a rotating basis is required, with a benefits package including PTO and health coverage.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous housekeeping experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs cleaning duties according to schedule (daily, weekly, monthly) in assigned areas.
• Collect soiled linens; launder linens; fold, sort, and distribute clean laundry.
• Keep laundry and linen storage rooms clean and organized.
• Sweep, dust, dust mops, and wet mops all floors and stairways; spot cleans and vacuums floors, rugs, carpets and runners.
• Collects trash and places in designated pick-up areas.
• Cleans, sanitizes, and polishes lavatory, shower and sink fixtures; stocks dispensers as necessary.
• Dust, wash, sponge mops, sanitizes and hand shampoos furniture; dust desk and floor lamps; cleans and polishes glass surfaces, woodwork, walls, and windowsills.
• Scrubs bath and shower room tiles, wood work, window frames and sills.
• Maintains equipment and materials needed to perform work in a clean and orderly condition.
• Reports any needed repairs to the Housekeeping Supervisor.
• Reports supply and equipment needs to Housekeeping Supervisor for replenishing.
• Must work every other weekend.
