Job summary

Friendship Village of Dublin is seeking a full-time Housekeeper for our Independent Living Community. You will clean and maintain resident spaces, follow established schedules, and build meaningful relationships with residents.

Qualifications

• Prior housekeeping or cleaning experience preferred.
• Ability to read and follow written instructions and measurements.
• Must be able to communicate effectively in English, both spoken and written.

Responsibilities

• Provide 5-Star service to residents and maintain a clean environment.
• Follow the ESS Department cleaning schedule for assigned areas.
• Clean floors (mop, vacuum), bathrooms, and surfaces as directed.
• Move, clean, and restore furnishings and fixtures when needed.
• Keep offices and common spaces cleaned; handle wastebaskets.
• Perform emergency housekeeping for spills or accidents.

We are looking for a Full Time Housekeeper in our Independent Living Community to assist our residents with cleaning and housekeeping while establishing meaningful and lasting relationships with those who call Friendship Village home!

Available Hours:

Monday - Friday 6:30am-3:00pm

Responsibilities:

• Provide 5-Star service to our lovely residents!
• Follow cleaning schedule (daily, weekly, monthly, etc.) as outlined for the ESS Department. Cleans assigned areas, furnishing and fixtures according to established procedures.
• Clean floors: Dry mop, wet mop, sweep, disinfect where and when necessary. Vacuum carpeting/rugs and spot clean.
• Move and clean furnishings and fixtures including but not limited to dusting, spot cleaning, and washing. Disinfect when necessary and polish where required.
• Clean bathrooms (private and public). Clean and disinfect all fixtures, floors and walls as directed. Washes windows and mirrors. Replenishes public bathroom supplies (soap, tissue, etc.)
• Clean offices, dining rooms, break rooms, laundry rooms, Health Center resident rooms, rooms, resident apartments, storage rooms, halls, stairways, entrances and exits.
• Perform cleaning duties according to established procedures in resident rooms when resident has been discharged or transferred.
• Empty, clean, and reline wastebaskets.
• Perform emergency housekeeping when accidents occur, including but not limited to bodily fluid clean up.

Qualification:

• A desire to make a difference!

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must have the ability to follow written and/or oral instructions and understand concepts of measurements.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, orally and in writing.
