Job summary

Dayton Children's is seeking a Housekeeper II to provide cleaning services in the presence of patients and families, delivering high customer service. The role is part of Environmental Services on the Main Campus, with a 4:30 PM to 1:00 AM shift and rotating weekends.

Education: GED/High School diploma preferred; Experience: 0-3 years required. Training on cleaning chemicals and AIDET techniques will be provided, and we value safety, compassion, and teamwork in our daily work.

Qualifications

• GED/HS diploma preferred.
• 0–3 years of housekeeping experience.

Responsibilities

• Make beds, empty trash, wipe equipment, and clean rooms.
• Clean restrooms, vacuum carpets, and polish floors.
• Launder hospital linen and manage equipment inventory.
• Provide high level of customer service to patients and families.

Job Details: The Housekeeper II provides cleaning services while in the presence of patients and their families. This is a high customer service position. The Housekeeper II is trained in AIDET techniques and demonstrates an understanding of the hospital values of innovation, collaboration, ownership, compassion, value creation and safety as job duties are performed.

Job duties may include making beds, emptying trash, wiping equipment, cleaning furniture, polishing floors, vacuuming carpets, cleaning restrooms, laundering hospital linen, daily inspection and inventory of housekeeping equipment and other assorted duties.

The Housekeeper II receives training about the cleaning chemicals that are used and will demonstrate competency in the proper usage, disposal and safety measures required to ensure a clean and safe hospital environment.

Department Specific Job Details

Shift: 4:30PM - 1:00AM, rotating weekends and holidays. Education: GED/High School diploma preferred Experience: 0-3 years experience required.
