Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning and custodial tasks to maintain sanitation in the facility.
• Disinfect rooms, furniture, fixtures, equipment and supplies using appropriate methods.
• Move and arrange furniture, clean kitchens and dining areas as needed.
• Launder soiled linens as directed and stock supplies for shifts.
• Prepare rooms for meetings and facility events; handle room setup and decorations.
• Follow infection control measures and maintain a clean environment.

Overview

Position includes weekends. Responsible for maintaining a clean and healthy patient care environment.

BENEFITS:

Hourly rate is negotiable depending on years of experience, education, and other factors. The general hourly pay range for this role is $14-$17.87.

This role does offer a shift differential of $2/hour for hours worked at night and $3/hour on weekends.

PURPOSE STATEMENT:

Responsible for maintaining a clean and healthy patient care environment.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Perform specific cleaning and custodial tasks in the general upkeep, sanitation and cleanliness of the facility.
• Disinfect rooms, furniture, fixtures, equipment and supplies, using appropriate processes and germicides for cleaning equipment.
• Perform other housekeeping duties, such as move and arrange furniture, turn mattresses, clean kitchens, cooking utensils, silverware, sweep, scrub, wax, or polish floors as needed.
• Launder soiled linens as directed.
• Maintain adequate cleaning supplies for department/unit use.
• Properly clean and store all equipment and supplies after each shift.
• Prepare rooms for meetings and arrange decorations and furniture for facility functions.
• Responsible for stocking of supplies as needed
• Follow all infection control measures.

OTHER FUNCTIONS:

• Perform other functions and tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience in housekeeping in a commercial, clinical or healthcare environment preferred.

LICENSES/DESIGNATIONS/CERTIFICATIONS:

• Valid state driver's license, where required in a facility.
• CPR and de-escalation and restraint certification required (training available upon hire and offered by facility).
• First aid may be required based on state or facility requirements.
