Job summary

PruittHealth in North Carolina-Salisbury is seeking a dedicated cleaners/housekeeping staff member for full-time, second shift at NCVA Salisbury location. Duties include comprehensive cleaning tasks across resident areas, using standard procedures to ensure a safe, sanitary environment.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, damp mop, and wet mop tile floors per center procedures.
• Vacuum carpeted rooms as applicable.
• Empty trash, clean exterior and interior, replace liner with a clean one.
• Clean bathroom sinks, fixtures, and toilets per procedures.
• Clean glass surfaces including mirrors, pictures, and windows.
• Dust behind and underneath furnishings.
• Follow infection control standards while cleaning.
• Prevent/remove wax and dirt buildup in corners, around baseboards, and in doorways.
• Change and hang curtains and draperies for outside windows as needed.
• Remove and re-hang curtains and draperies for outside windows using a ladder.
• Dust/damp clean surfaces in patient/resident rooms (furniture, bed frames, windowsills, etc.) following center procedure, including wet floor signs.
• Move furniture to access behind/underneath as per center procedures.
• Turn bed mattresses after cleaning.

Job Purpose

Provides cleaning services to provide a safe sanitary, comfortable and homelike environment for residents, staff and the public. Housekeeping services provided are in accordance with facility policies and procedures and consistent with state and federal laws and regulations to maintain an environment that enhances the quality of life for residents

Key Responsibilities

• Sweeps, damp mops, and wet mops tile floors.May occasionally be required to spray buff, strip or wax floors, following center procedures, including the use of wet floor signs.
• Vacuums carpeted rooms as applicable.
• Empties trash cans, cleans exterior, cleans interior, and replaces with a clean can liner
• Cleans bathroom sinks, fixtures, and toilets, following center procedures.
• Cleans glass surfaces such as mirrors, pictures, and windows.
• Cleans behind and underneath furnishings.
• Follows infection control standards while performing cleaning.
• Prevents/removes wax/dirt buildup in corners, around baseboards, and in doorways.
• Changes soiled privacy curtains and draperies for the outside windows as needed.
• Removes and re-hangs curtains and draperies for the outside windows, using a ladder.
• Dust/damp cleans surfaces in patient/resident rooms (furniture, bed frames, windowsills, etc.) following center procedure, including the use of wet floor signs.
• Moves furniture to clean behind/underneath, according to center procedures.
• Turns bed mattresses after cleaning.
