Job summary

PruittHealth in Griffin, GA is hiring a Housekeeper HCC to provide cleaning services that keep resident areas safe, sanitary, and homelike. You will follow facility policies, support infection control, and work with staff to maintain a comfortable environment for residents and visitors.

Responsibilities include floor care, room cleaning, window and surface cleaning, trash removal, and assisting with curtain changes as needed.

Qualifications

• None; on-the-job training is provided
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Previous experience with healthcare housekeeping or environmental services preferred

Responsibilities

• Sweeps, damp mops, and wet mops tile floors; may spray buff, strip or wax floors per center procedures.
• Vacuums carpeted rooms as applicable.
• Empties trash cans; cleans interior and exterior; replaces with clean liner.
• Cleans bathroom sinks, fixtures, and toilets per center procedures.
• Cleans glass surfaces such as mirrors, pictures, and windows.
• Cleans behind and underneath furnishings.
• Follows infection control standards while performing cleaning.
• Prevents/removes wax/dirt buildup in corners, baseboards, and doorways.
• Changes soiled privacy curtains and draperies for outside windows as needed.
• Removes and re-hangs curtains and draperies for outside windows using a ladder.
• Dusts and damp cleans surfaces in patient/resident rooms; uses wet floor signs.
• Moves furniture to clean behind/underneath per center procedures.

Description

JOB PURPOSE:

Provides cleaning services to provide a safe sanitary, comfortable and homelike environment for residents, staff and the public. Housekeeping services provided are in accordance with facility policies and procedures and consistent with state and federal laws and regulations to maintain an environment that enhances the quality of life for residents

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Sweeps, damp mops, and wet mops tile floors.May occasionally be required to spray buff, strip or wax floors, following center procedures, including the use of wet floor signs.
2. Vacuums carpeted rooms as applicable.
3. Empties trash cans, cleans exterior, cleans interior, and replaces with a clean can liner
4. Cleans bathroom sinks, fixtures, and toilets, following center procedures.
5. Cleans glass surfaces such as mirrors, pictures, and windows.
6. Cleans behind and underneath furnishings.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS: (Preferred qualifications)

High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Previous experience with healthcare housekeeping or environmental services preferred
