Job summary

CMC Hotels is seeking a motivated Housekeeping Attendant for the Embassy Suites Uptown Charlotte, delivering clean, comfortable guest rooms and embodying Westin brand standards. You will dust, vacuum, make beds, replenish amenities, and report maintenance issues while maintaining safety and cleanliness.

Strong attention to detail and excellent guest service are essential; teamwork and a positive attitude are valued in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in housekeeping or hospitality is preferred but not required.
• Excellent customer service and communication abilities are essential.
• Strong attention to detail and a positive work ethic are important.

Responsibilities

• Clean and service assigned guest rooms according to brand standards.
• Make beds, replace linens, towels, and replenish amenities.
• Dust, vacuum, sanitize, and clean all guest room areas including bathrooms.
• Inspect rooms for quality and safety, reporting issues promptly.
• Respond to guest requests courteously and efficiently.
• Maintain carts, equipment, and supply areas in an organized manner.
• Follow safety, sanitation, and infection prevention procedures.
• Collaborate with housekeeping and other departments to ensure a great guest experience.

Position Summary

The Housekeeping Attendant is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, appearance, and overall presentation of guest rooms while delivering exceptional hospitality. This position plays a vital role in ensuring every guest enjoys a clean, comfortable, and relaxing stay that reflects the Westin brand standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean and service assigned guest rooms according to Westin and CMC Hotels brand standards.
• Make beds, replace linens, towels, and replenish guest room amenities and supplies.
• Dust, vacuum, sanitize, and thoroughly clean all guest room areas, including bathrooms.
• Inspect rooms to ensure quality standards are consistently met.
• Report maintenance concerns, damaged items, or safety hazards promptly.
• Respond courteously and efficiently to guest requests and housekeeping needs.
• Maintain housekeeping carts, equipment, and supply areas in a clean and organized manner.
• Follow all safety, sanitation, and infection prevention procedures.
• Work collaboratively with fellow housekeeping team members and other hotel departments to provide an exceptional guest experience.

Qualifications

• Previous housekeeping or hotel experience is preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of cleaning products, sanitation procedures, and proper cleaning techniques is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality and cleanliness.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently while also contributing as part of a team.
• Dependable with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
• Must be available to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift.
• Frequent bending, kneeling, stooping, reaching, twisting, and climbing.
• Ability to push and pull housekeeping carts weighing up to approximately 50 pounds.
• Ability to regularly lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
• Ability to perform repetitive physical tasks while maintaining quality and efficiency.
