Job summary

Phoenix Center for Rehabilitation & Pediatrics is seeking reliable Housekeepers and Porters to join our team in Haskell, NJ. Responsibilities include cleaning all areas of the facility, trash removal, floor care, and reporting safety hazards to the Director of Housekeeping.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent and the ability to lift 50 lbs. One year of experience is preferred, and English communication is required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain all areas of the facility in a clean and sanitary condition.
• Assist with trash removal.
• Keep service closets clean and organized; sweep and mop floors.
• Maintain equipment in good condition; vacuum and shampoo carpets and rugs.
• Clean bathrooms and report safety hazards to the Lead Housekeeper or Director of Housekeeping.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Housekeeping.

Responsibilities as a Housekeeper:

• Maintain all areas of facility in a clean and sanitary condition
• Assist with trash removal
• Ensure service closets are clean and organized
• Sweeping and mopping
• Maintain equipment in good condition
• Vacuum and shampoo carpets and rugs
• Clean bathrooms
• Be aware of safety hazards (broken glass, frayed electrical cords, leaks, broken locks and suspicious activities) and report to the Lead Housekeeper and/or Director of Housekeeping
• Other duties as assigned by the Director of Housekeeping

Requirements for a Housekeeper:

• High School Diploma or equivalent is desired
• One year experience preferred
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Ability to communicate clearly in English
• Ability to bend, stoop and twist
