Job summary

Chelsea Retirement Community is looking for a dedicated Housekeeper to join our full-time team on the 2nd shift, based in Chelsea, MI. You will help keep residents’ rooms and common areas clean and welcoming, following safety and hygiene standards.

The role offers a stable schedule (Mon-Fri, 2:30pm-11pm with every 4th weekend rotation) and a pay range of $16.97–$20.69 per hour, with shift premiums and a comprehensive benefits package. Experience in long-term care is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Experience as a housekeeper or cleaner in a long-term care facility or medical environment, required.
• Ability to lift and move objects up to 35 pounds without assistance.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize bathrooms, including toilets, sinks, showers, and floors.
• Dust and polish furniture, fixtures, and decorative items.
• Vacuum and mop floors, carpets, and rugs.
• Clean residents' rooms, recreational areas, offices, and hallways as assigned.
• Change bed linens and make beds according to established standards.
• Empty trash containers and dispose of waste in designated areas.
• Clean and disinfect kitchen surfaces, appliances, and utensils.
• Replenish supplies such as toiletries, towels, and cleaning products.
• Organize and maintain storage areas for cleaning supplies and equipment.

Schedule: Full-Time 40 hours/wk | Monday-Friday 2:30pm-11pm | Every 4th weekend rotation

What You'll Do:

As part of our housekeeping team, you will play an important role in keeping our residents’ rooms, recreational areas, offices, and hallways spotless. Every day, you'll contribute to a warm, safe, and comfortable environment for everyone we serve.
